Oh No Ono – ready for Groningen.
Five Danish bands are going to play at the coming Eurosonic Festival in Groningen. The bands are Alice Rose and Oh No Ono, who are to play on Thursday 11th January, Dûné, The Psyche Project, and The Broken Beats, all of whom will play on Friday 12th. In other words a versatile selection ranging from singer/ song writing to hardcore metal and high-speed mutant pop.
For the last many years the festival in Groningen has been considered a major launching pad for Danish bands with international ambitions. For instance it was at the Dutch festival that Under Byen made their final breakthrough three years ago. Previously the bands were presented by DR – the Danish Broadcasting Corporation and ROSA, but now and the last few years MXD has taken over.
Alice Rose – will perform at
the Grand Theatre in Groningen.
The MXD partner DR – the Danish Broadcasting Corporation broadcasts live from Eurosonic venue Vera on its radio channel P3 both Thursday and Friday from 9.03 PM to midnight.
MXD supports the Danish bands’ concerts and will be present at the Dutch festival.
Oh No Ono and The Broken Beats will also use the opportunity to play a couple of additional gigs in the Netherlands – together even on two occasions in Haag on 13th January and in Tilburg on 14th January.
